Spelling Bee Literacy (Sp.LIT) is a national, growing multi-school organization founded in 2010 to advocate and raise awareness for children's literacy education through registered charity Spelling Bee of Canada (founded in 1987). We have hosted over 15 school-wide spelling bees, including the first ever Multi-High School Spelling Bee in Toronto. Sp.LIT believes literacy is the foundation for success, and aims to encourage and empower literacy in youth across Canada to be adequately prepared for the workforce.
